Breathwork for Loving Your Crone
Right now the collective Feminine heart needs incredible sensitivity, support, care and nurturing.
For women who want to look forward to or be happily inside their wise years with deep love and giving for themselves and others.
“A woman in harmony with her spirit is like a river flowing.
She goes where she will without pretense and arrives at her destination prepared to be herself and only herself.”
~ Maya Angelou

Invitation
Hello Breath Taking Women. Welcome to Breathwork for Loving Your Crone.
Do you feel you have more to contribute now than you ever have before?
As women in or approaching our Crone years, let’s celebrate this time to ascend to our rightful place as the Elders in our families and communities.
We rise because now more than ever we are needed for our deep wisdom and experience.
We get there by returning to the depths of beauty and love that is within us all.
We are powerful beyond measure. Please join me to discover our Crone in all her glory.
Why Breathwork for Loving Your Crone?
We are living in a youth dominated culture where we are made to believe that if we are not the certain age, body size, or beauty image, we are not acceptable. We were set up to compete against one another instead of revering the unique beauty within of each of us and being supportive to one another.
Youth orientation is out of step with what the Ancients and the Ancestors knew – that the Elders were the most integral part of the Community. And that the Elders are the guides and guardians that lead others to their wisdom. It is by building community that they learned to thrive even in devastating conditions.
Their beauty came from their wisdom, their history, their intuition and their healing powers. How can we restore ourselves to the rightful place of being revered and honored for who we are?
When we bring forth the full scope of our confidence and gifts to our lives we more easily gain respect for our life’s hard work. It is up to us. The power is fully in our hands.
Who is the Crone?
It is believed that a woman reaches her Crone years at or around the age of 50.
What is conjured up in your mind when you hear the word crone? A hag, a witch, a wrinkled up, bent over old woman? These images have been associated with the Crone.
A Bit of History
The mythological Crone comes from ancient times in the part of the world known as the Middle East, Greece and the Balkans. She has been seen in Celtic traditions as well. We now come to believe in the Paleolithic era (c. 30,000-10,000 BCE) the goddess was revered as one all-encompassing mother goddess who controlled birth, death and rebirth. It is known as a time of great peace.
As patriarchy began to rise after C.7000 BCE, this began to change as women became increasingly under the dominion of men. The one mother goddess was split into three aspects of the stages of women’s lives.

Crone comes from the word crown signifying wisdom emanating from the head; hag comes from hagio meaning holy; witch comes from wit meaning wise.
Crones were frequently leaders, midwives and healers in their communities. The meanings of the words were distorted when the male-dominated church wanted to eliminate women holding positions of power. The words took on a negative connotation that continues in our language today.
Now we can reclaim the positive meaning of these words.
We can Ascend
There is no better time than now to take our rightful place as the Elder, the wise woman, the healer in our communities.
Many of us were taught to occupy less space than men.
As the Crone, we take up space. We breathe to remove any conditioning that says it should not be.

How the program works
We enter into a healing Space that allows ourselves to be seen.
The Crone is the crowning achievement of our time in life as the worthy elder with much to pass on as great gifts of wisdom to our people. We use our breath to embrace confidence and accept our calling.
We can ascend. Let’s grab this luscious time of our lives. Who is with me? I’m ready to Love My Crone. Come on this journey with me.
We can always return to the feeling of the breath.
One of the deepest breathwork sessions I’ve ever had. I felt so safe and nurtured during my breathwork session with Martha. I experienced an energetic wave and a deep relaxation. I hardly recognized myself in the mirror afterwards. Stress and worry melted away.
Thank you Martha! I’m so grateful to be working with you, looking forward to the next session.
Breathwork is a guided and active breathing meditation that helps us to let go of any unwanted emotions, stuck energy and old stories that no longer serve us.
There is pain, and loss and grief. There is anger, even fury, and sadness. There is fear. To find our most beautiful Crone, let’s work to heal. We are worthy.
It is through this transformative power of our own breath that we can raise our vibration, our frequency to heal ourselves.
Breathwork for Loving Your Crone is a five-week series. We meet every week for the five weeks on the appointed day and time over Zoom. The sessions are up to 90 minutes. The circle is kept intentionally intimate at 20 women.

The Goddess in You
The Breathwork session I had with Martha was incredible and left me speechless. I didn’t have the words to describe the release my body just went through in the session. Sensations, colors, and feelings. I felt as if my body was going to float away and at the same time I can feel this energy moving up through my body: from my stomach, to my heart, up into my throat, & then between my eyes. It moved all through my chakras. Martha’s voice guiding me through it was so comforting & gave me permission to release what wanted to. She knew exactly what to say at exactly the perfect time. In the end I felt lighter. Thank you Martha for taking me through your transformative Breathwork process.
I was deeply moved by my Breathwork session with Martha. Her guidance led me through some powerful physical sensations that allowed me to shift into a different state of mind and experience a profound sense of release. Her gentle questions after helped me to explore the experience.

“The doors to the wild self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.”
– Clarissa Pinkola Estès
