Breathe it all in, love it all out.”Mary Oliver

(Get Your Crone On (sung to the tune of Missy Elliott’s “Get Your Freak On”)

What is like to fully step into your Crone? I find that it gives me a new lease on purpose and fulfillment.  Oh, I was in resistance. Believe me. Came into it all kicking and hollering.

Check out Who Is the Crone?

After some deeper study, I realized that “Wow, what could be better?” I mean who wants to buy all that BS that the media feeds us on youth culture. It’s all airbrushed anyway.

When I deepened my search into the Crone, I learned about the sacred space we stand on. (Speaking of space, Crones take up space!)

Ancient peoples evolved with the best moral codes and let themselves be guided by their clan’s matriarchs. When we take into consideration our life’s stories, our accumulated experience, wisdom and growth, we have immense insight to offer. In ancient times and in modern day indigenous communities, the Elders are the most integral part of the community. The Elders are the guides and guardians that lead others to their wisdom. Let’s step up.

We don’t have to get all tied up figuring out how to do this. We simply have to hold the space for the Truth.

And, why you may ask? Our dear Mother Earth depends upon us to carry the torch, to be the light. Because, as the lyrics of this song says:

When there is light in the soul there is beauty in the person.

When there is beauty in the person, there is harmony in the home.

When there is harmony in the home there is honor in the nation.

When there is honor in the nation there is peace in the world.  ~Resistance Revival Chorus
